I did 15 years of weekend mornings on CFRB from 1995 to 2010 and enjoyed every moment of it.  I still miss doing the interviews.  Musicians, authors and many more.  BTW the audience was terrific.

Jackie Shayne and Any Other Way; was before CHUM-FMs time.  You're right, they were classical then.  I believe it was a typo and the writer meant to say 1050 CHUM.

Mark was indeed my producer during his time at 'RB; as we did weekend mornings together.  Connie reported news on my show as well.  That's when she met Mark.
When my Mother passed away in 2004, I walked into that little church in the village of Perkinsfield Ontario and Lo and Behold there was Mark and Connie.  Also, producer Nick Maiorano.  I was very touched.

I did 15 years of weekend morning radio for CFRB (New Talk 1010) and I enjoyed every minute of it.  According to program director Steve Kowch, I enjoyed great ratings over those years.  Very proud of that show and the many guests that joined me.

I am absolutely devastated, RA. We were indeed very close in the 70s and later we reunited in person at Hugh's Room.  I remember going food shopping with her in Kensington Market.  Only fresh vegetables and herbs for her.  But no Booze.  This was for a record launch party that Quality records was putting on by Scott Robbins.  I was her MC at Massey Hall shows, and she and her late husband Peter Schekeryk kept in touch.  I am deeply, deeply saddened to hear this news.  Too soon gone.  RIP

I am so deeply, deeply shocked. Worked with him over the years at CFRB.  Always a big smile.  Never complained about his split shift that was indeed very tiring for him.  Far too young to leave us.  God Bless Roberto.

It was a little over a year ago that my favourite morning show host on CP24 "retired." I thought he was a little young at the time.  He didn't talk about where he was going or what he wanted to do.

I've never heard him mentioned since he left the show; but this being Christmas, I think it is time for a "George Lagogianes"update.  What do you say?

I worked with Richard years ago when he was the producer of the John Oakley show at CFRB.  He was one of the nicest, kindest people I have ever worked with in broadcasting.  Also, very soft-spoken off air.

When he broke away from Oakley, he found his own voice. Not surprised, he mentions Needham.  Ed and I became good friends in the mid 80s and became the first talk show host at CFRB.  Ed was in Vietnam, and he told me that, that experience made him "suffer no fools."  Ed gave me an American Flag that he carried with him for years.  I've never forgotten him.

I remember when David came to CHUM-FM.  Larry Green had just quit his 2-6 pm shift to go to GRT records.  I was doing 10pm to 2 am at the time.  When David came over, Bob Laine gave him the choice of 10-2 or 2-6 pm.  I had just gotten married and was hoping David would choose the 10 pm to 2 am shift so that I could move to daytime.  David chose 10 pm to 2 am; therefore, I could move to daytime.  I thanked him at the time; but once again, thank you MARSBAR!!!  He remains my radio hero to this day.  An absolute legend in broadcasting.
