Ben Mulroney's producer, George Tsilfidis, pulled the plug and is walking away to greener pastures. This is going to be a tough position to fill - he was a very able producer and is, in no small part, responsible for the success of Mulroney's radio position in Toronto. I'm not sure with certainty but the worst kept secret in the industry is the ensuing arrival of Steve Paikin at 640 Toronto in the relatively near future. You connect the dots.

I can only imagine hosting a radio show for 2-3 hours is quite a challenge and I have never done it.

The producer and technical director share the same space as Frankish. You are hearing background noise, which, in my opinion, is less irritating than Kevin's rambling about nothing. 640 misses Greg in ways it could not have predicted. The temporary host has no opinions, no pushback, no grit...nothing but smiles and happy talk for everyone who appears on the show. Blandness works on morning television but not a conservative talk radio station. I hope Greg wins his seat in Ajax, but hopefully, either way, this is a temporary host situation at 640. It is too good a station to start the day on a boring note, and Ben deserves a better lead-in show.

While I cannot vote for Greg because I do not live in Ajax, I hope he wins. He lives in the region and has tirelessly gone to each and every door to speak to the electorate. His opponent lives nowhere near Durham and is a helicopter drop. Good luck, Greg.

Frankish mentions her return in one of the videos he made this morning and he wandered around the Corus building searching for the front door. It would be shocking if she did, and probably something akin to career suicide given she is newly reemployed by Rogers. She could be selling phones at a retail outlet very quickly if she breaks ranks.

Greg Brady and 640 Toronto's entire lineup is so much better than anything 1010 has put on in a dozen years that comparisons are stupid. Greg is smart and asks difficult questions. Moore is not intelligent and sends his guests high hanging curve balls to whack out of the park. If the idiot Mayor of Toronto went on with Greg, she would have to answer for her antisemitism and she is not willing to do that - publicly or privately. She is a terrible mayor, and now, for the world to see, a terrible human. She is a microcosm of Toronto in 2024 - a train wreck. Greg would never let that go unquestioned. Moore, and the happy cast of characters on 1010, do not care about a broader picture of the city. 640 Toronto is radio for smart people. The former CFRB is the radio equivalent of whipped cream.

Eric Kam from TMU is good. He sits in occasionally and is funny and well spoken. Not sure he could host on his own but would be a good second banana.
