WDCX is a super power Class C at 120 Kw. They are running it last time I chatted with Doug. CKKW west of Kitchener is not heard most days without noise or mixing. In Cambridge severe interference from Buffalo makes them unlistenable. It is the Cambridge-Kitchener-Waterloo market for Numeris now. They are HD and this does hold well when analogue gets noisy also stops radios switching between Andy Kim and The gospel of Luke when atmospheric conditions are ripe.

Another change not mentioned is 99.5 to 106.7 by Paul Larche when he owned country in KW when Simcoe moved off the Frequency.
1490 to 570 CHYM then CKGL when they Flipped Country to AM and Pop to FM.
CKKW was 1320, then 1090 then to the ill fated 99.5
CJTW was 94.3 moved to 93.7 same as WBLK in Buffalo a nightmare on most warm days.
Had CKMB moved to 107.7 CJDV could have increased power with the protection being gone towards Barrie. they tried a few times
CJOY 1490 tried to move to FM at 95.7 unsuccessful as well
CKMS 94.5 to 100.3 to 102.7
CKWR 98.7 to 98.5
K 104 103.9 Woodstock from 102.3  K 104 gives you More!
1510 to 107.3 Country Tillsonburg
1240 CJCS to 107.1

CTV News Channel is back with the National News Lisa Laflamme outside cold open, no lower thirds and rather rough throw to Paul Workmans report. Better to second report with Joy Malbon with the orange story from Washington.

In times of natural disaster or national emergency, you will be advised to tune into a CBC radio station.  Commercial radio stations will advise listeners of this, and they are all free to pick up CBC feeds and become temporary affiliates.

Is there a current policy that points to this?

CKWR had a Power Increase approved by the CRTC in 2003 to 27 kW H Pol only. It was never built and they lost the approval several years ago. The current issue has them running at reduced power  due to a bad feed line.

CKNX FM -2 applied for a Freq Change to 102.7 to 250 watts was denied in 2008 and in 2016 they asked for the 5 watts at 104.9 be deleted.

I knew the 'Nested" 100 kw FM in Winnipeg was a chance at an overlap service. As Jack H explained to me that wanted FM for Winnipeg but 680 for all of Manitoba.

Seems like a awfully long time, listen to KX94 yesterday, sounds rough. Since the coming of Automation I always carried off site backups weekly. Today pretty easy to use the cloud for off site. With Mediatouch as an example a basic On Air machine can be configured and on the air in maybe 1 hour, point to the backup and you are done.

I like the community station idea above.

National ad buys are going to be down 85-90% in April...the big guys aren't going to be buying anything this year.

Source on National Ad Buys being down 85 to 90% in April?

The tying in of HD into this application was really more of a cover to say they would keep Proud on the air than a real step into that arena; a political move they hoped would help pass it.

They do have Z on 92.1 HD, and they could do 88.5 too, I agree, but it would probably make little to no difference in Z's future.

As for 103.9, I wouldn't be shocked if they just shut it off.  A little conspiracy minded, but I never thought it was anything but a placeholder to help Z move into the city following a regulation change or a clever application.

They could a Hybrid. Call it Dynamic with Hot AC and Country. It worked for a week at one time and was unique under the archaic rules in the 90's.

My station worked just fine. The location for the alert system audio insert point should be just before it reaches the STL link, after all delays for profanity and such. With the system and the audio quality is pristine. AES In/Out, did the same at another station and third one is analog bell lines just before the circuit termination QUK1A coils. Intelligibility was fine on Several station I dialled around. CBC All nets English and French, Corus, Bell. I didn't have a chance to hear anything on the other groups.
