I always smile when I hear conservatives say that. I always found him to be more of a libertarian, myself.

I was a teen in the '70s so that's where my head goes.

1) Twilight Zone - Golden Earring

These guys have been together longer than the Stones!

2) 25 or 6 to 4 - Chicago

I'm looking forward to this. Moore talking to the public for three hours without the burden of the usual busy morning pace should be a fascinating listen. I have no doubt he'll do it very well. But it's always interesting to hear someone out of their comfort zone. I'll be tuning in for sure. (If only Robert Turner could produce it, it would be perfect!)

Not his first rodeo. He did the drive home show in the afternoon previously and took a lot of calls then.

Not necessarily the way you're thinking. Depends on how responsive demand is the change. They think the cost reduction will effect the bottom line more then lost listeners will.

Rating may fall but not as much as costs. Shareholder win!!!!

Now JM is someone I wouldn’t mind seeing the bottom of a bottle with.
I suspect he has some pretty good stories that may need a little encouragement falling off the tongue.

Or maybe it's nothing more complicated than Bell Media, owners of 1010 now, doesn't want to give any publicity to Rogers. It was Ted Rogers who started CFRB, was it not?

It was a little rough the other day as well - missed cues, etc

You've gotta pick your battles.

It's not about what is said as much as how it's said. I'll always welcome a factual and well-constructed argument regardless what side it epitomizes.

That made me chuckle.
To me, Shurman's usual "method" seems to be to take a caller, cut them off after five or ten seconds and launch into another monologue until the next station break. The man loves the sound of his own voice.

How is it that the Employment Hour is only actually 40 minutes? It starts at about 7:10 PM, after Alex Pierson delivers her commentary and sets up her show, and then stops at 7:50 PM. That's not an hour by anyone's yardstick.

A lawyer's hour?

It's impossible. He was on air live with Oakley at 640 at the exact same time as Wynne was over at 1010. So unless he had an earphone in his ear with a radio set to CFRB, there's no way he could have heard it.

Now hold on!
I heard him tell Ryan he said he was going to find efficiencies to cut the deficit and debt yet cut our hydro bills in half and eliminate income taxes for anyone making less than $30,000. Surely, anyone able to do that should be able to do an on-air interview on one station while listening to another one at the same time. Ryan accepted all that without question. Why can't you??

Have some Kool-Aid. You'll understand everything then.
