To me the 70's was the best decade for music...you had disco, prog rock, yacht rock, punk rock and Jimmy Buffet, what would your top 3 all 70's weekend songs be?
Time to take our minds off the pandemic and go all 70's weekend, all the time!
Let's have fun with this...and maybe even get up and shake it up, on this the first annual all 70's weekend!
I will be dancing in my Zoom Wear....(Dress shirt and boxers, cue Tom Cruise...lol)
Here are my top 3 (so many to choose from)...
1. ELO- Don't let me down
2. Ramones- Beat on the brat
3. School- Supertramp
Not to worry, I liked Jackson Browne, Jimmy Buffet, Garland Jeffreys, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Marley, Peter Frampton, Steely Dan, Elton John, Steve Martin, ACDC, George Carlin, Cheech and Chong (Classsss), The Cars, Joe Jackson, Pink Floyd, man the music was amazing in this decade, so let's have at it...and share your top 3 on this the all 70's weekend...

So many great tunes so far. Difficult to narrow it down to just three for the entire decade. Here are three "of" my favourites. 1. Reflections Of My Life-Marmalade. 2. Another Park, Another Sunday- Doobie Brothers. 3. It's A Long Way There- Little River Band [LP version]

Not everything from the 70's was great. Every decade has its share of dreadful music. For me, I WILL change the station when I hear The Night Chicago Died-Paper Lace, Muscrat Love-Captain&Tennille and Loving You-Minnie Ripperton.

Your last two examples are indeed lame - but I love those songs ....lol. The 80s and 90s have a lot of bad songs too but I love a lot of them.
Then there are albums that are world-renowned and yet they do NOTHING for me - like Paul Simon's Graceland. To me, it's very overrated.

What's Going On - Marvin Gaye

Mississippi Queen - Mountain...

Hey Cash, Thank you. Limited to only 3, this was the one that I struggled with and had to eliminate from my list. The other I struggled with was Jon and Vangelis, Friends of Mr. Cairo.

That came out July 1981.

Sorry Tickle Trunk. You are right, but that era really is a bit foggy for me.

Just an observation on a radio site. No Beatles mentioned, although Let It Be came out in 1970. No post Beatles Fab Four mention, and nothing by Led Zeppelin. Again, just an observation.
