So much so that the audience generated 3 million and someone donated 1 million.

When you do stuff people care about - they support you.

Or play a bunch of TSN and Crave commercials, cut everything back and hope for the best..

Yikes.  Some rough results there for some.   Indie should be pleased.

1010 and CHUM may need a leadership change.

It's a bit of a stretch for a complaint.

Sounds like they are meeting all the requirements.  Not liking it, doesn't mean it's wrong.

Syndicated programming runs on many stations.  No one had "control" of Casey Kasem or Syndicated sports or other talk shows any more than they do the Quebecor talent.

What makes it unique is that they are doing it from 6a-6p and the talent is in a building down the street.

147k in CTD is a big # for a 500 watt station.

Business must be good up north!

Unfortunately all three had pretty restricted signals.

Lite sounded very good - maybe just lacked people power and promo power.

Those two smaller markets are also tough because the language issues.

Maybe.  Not sure the needle is going to move much unless....

1) They have something super unique about the station.

2) Spend massive dough on advertising.

What was the peak for CISS 92.5?

Who cares about the actual switch?  I agree... no one... but it's on the air now.... so how long do they get to be a below average non exciting format? 

And switching KX and Rock is a terrible idea.   Throw away decades of branding because 93.5 switched? You can't be serious.

Right now - KX remains the Country leader.

Whatever the plan is... the switch was boring.   Unless something impressive happens on Tuesday... the early days are not impressive.

If you wanted to play music - this would be an option.

Just do it and ask for donations.

You have to make the station relevant and that is very hard to do considering it's been irrelevant for decades AND there are tons of better sound quality options.

You would have to be prepared to out-market your competition which will take savvy and cash.

Was she not mornings on Z1035 before moving to CHUM FM?  Her resume is already pretty impressive.   Not sure it needs padding?

She's one of the good ones.   I hope for her it's a dream gig, perfect for her family or bigger than co-host in Ottawa.

I was thinking putting Big G and Matty on 102.7 is a stunt before they move them to Pure Country 98.9 since Bell their show to Ottawa.
