Broadcast Dialogue reports that Ashley Greco is giving up her mid-day duties on CHUM-FM, after 12 years on air.
She plans to stay with the company in some capacity and will still do her Sunday morning "Back In The Day Brunch" show. No word yet on when her last day may be or what prompted the move.

Last midday show with CHUM FM is this Friday July 26th. 12-3PM. For her to leave CHUM this must be something big. Morning show in another market?

You can watch her big announcement on the Marilyn Denis morning show on Facebook.
She won't say what the new "opportunity" is, but does admit it means leaving Toronto.

Glad she's still keeping her weekend radio show.
I wish her the best.
Also, interesting to see Adam Wylde co-hosting the morning show with his mom Marilyn Denis this week. Could this be a hint of future plans?

"If not now, when?" So yes, it sounds like maybe she was offered mornings somewhere in the Bell Media company.
Did anyone recently leave mornings with Bell Media? That would be a great potential clue...maybe?

Another thought is will she keep her National midday show on MOVE?

I wouldn't think mornings in Ottawa would be as lucrative as middays on CHUM FM and the network?

Establishing a Morning show aircheck is priceless.

On the T4, sure.
But if you want mornings, you really want mornings. And quite a few people have been kicking around CHUM waiting for their turn. And then they hired from the outside. So plan B it is.

Was she not mornings on Z1035 before moving to CHUM FM? Her resume is already pretty impressive. Not sure it needs padding?
She's one of the good ones. I hope for her it's a dream gig, perfect for her family or bigger than co-host in Ottawa.

I doubt it's about resume padding; it's about what she wants to do every day.

Greco and her co-host, Gord St. Denis, appeared on a CTV morning show on Friday, talking about her new show that started Monday. Every AM drivetime program now seems to a title - theirs is "The Morning Pick Up."
Pure Country 94's The Morning Pickup with Ashley and Gord starts Monday
