I have tried but have come to the conclusion I can't listen.  Have switched to John Oakley on 640AM which is the best of the two but not great either.
Also I miss Jim Richards and hope he is doing well.

Now Jerry Agar is using Mark Towhey as an “expert”, this time on the China-Two Michaels issue.
Towhey is no journalist, and it’s obvious: his facts are wrong, but accepted as the truth by Agar, e.g.


  • the dates and locations of the two trials
  • the number of foreign representatives at each of the trials
  • who was there for Canada (ambassador is actually in Canada)

Coupled with the canned hourly news “updates” from a network that has no correspondents!!!!
Sinclair, Parnaby, (Dave) Agar – this is their legacy?

Agreed. Question is: what are this host’s qualifications to host a “national” radio show to provide critical information during a crisis.

Very interesting to read Bell Media’s self-glorifying interpretation of the latest numbers. Lots of choosy qualifiers about best results in “commercial” radio (read non-CBC) for 1010 mornings and “large’ increases for TSN1050 (forgetting to mention that the start point was virtually zero). Wordsmithing at its best.
And John Moore tweeted it out as as great news. (Corporate “encouragement” involved.?)
