Tis the season we get to jingle the bells of Rudolph’s red nose and argue whether you prefer a Holly Jolly Christmas to a Green Christmas.
The world according to Google spit out this info on stations going all-Christmas. Personally I don’t think Christmas on the radio should begin till after Remembrance Day but whadda I know.
Happy listening to:
Flipped in October 2026 (or Late September)
• KLO 103.1 FM (Coast 103.1 - Coalville / Salt Lake City, UT): Switched to 24/7 holiday music on September 28, 2026, breaking its own previous October 7 record and earning the title of the earliest major US terrestrial station to flip for the season.
• 105.1 KKGO (Los Angeles, CA): Flipped a digital subchannel (HD3) to an all-Christmas format.
Upcoming Flips (Early November 2026)
• 99.9 KEZ (Phoenix, AZ): Announced plans to make its traditional transition to nonstop Christmas music on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
• SiriusXM: Launches its full lineup of 25 holiday music channels starting Monday, November 2, 2026 (though Holiday Traditions is available year-round on the app/channel).

I am quite happy listening to Christmas Music December 24th and 25th. The other 363 days, I want it GONE from my life and I do my best to ensure that it is.

Christmas music is sometimes also the flip that leads to a new format December 26th.
I wonder if 88five will go all Christmas any time soon...

When's CHFI flipping?
And, I wish zoomer went all christmas, It would be a nice break from CHFI.
I'm sure most of you would'nt hate it if stations actualy programmed it right with more variety.
Take VOCM in newfoundland for example, they include older christmas songs, carols, and east coast and celtic christmas.
There the only ones I know of who play the irish rovers's christmas songs and other christmas songs by Jose Feliciano.

There're not. I said sometimes.
Usually it's a station that doesn't normally go all Christmas for the holiday season.
Remember when EZrock and CHFI used to be pretty much the same format?
EZrock went all Christmas one year, then became Boom on Boxing day.

Maybe, but there’s no real reason for a format flip after that.

I miss EZ rock.
They had a much better christmas playlist than CHFI.
I hope stingray brings the breez to toronto on an hd subchannel, we nead some other local choices other than CHFI.

The only way I would ever listen to all Christmas music is if they played a station's singing IDs 24 hours a day.
They could call it "Jingles" all the way. ![]()

I want all Chanukah music. In fact, I think 1250 CJYE could have switched formats and been a resounding commercial success. ![]()

Its more exciting than a lot of the songs CHFI plays.

Maybe all star 102.5 nostalgia?
Star's christmas ids, rob loocas in the morning clips, and star's christmas music.
Or for us here in the gta, EZ rock christmas radio.
Old EZ rock jingles, clips from there shows during christmas, and there christmas music.
