This is picking up from another recent thread that it has been noticed that Lisa Morales and Stuart McGinn, the regular morning traffic and news reporters on CFRB had not been on the air for a couple of weeks, and again this morning they’re absent.

I’ve looked online but no mention of either being let go by Bell and the fact that we’re in a ratings period, where vacation time is usually a no-no, I wonder what’s up as I like consistency and would prefer not to have different on-air talent every morning, plus I shout at clouds….

So what’s up at CFRB? Search me!

Both of their LinkedIn profiles still have them working at Bell Media. But it is weird both would be allowed to book off at the same time for so long.

No particular announcement or activity on each of their social media accounts, but I agree it seems odd where vacation breaks seem to become unusually long. For what it's worth, Morales was tagged just yesterday by Bill Coulter on an Instagram post of his at the Canada's Wonderland Media Day preview event which she attended.

Interestingly, another fresh work week begins on 1010 without Stuart McGinn and Lisa Morales and no official explanation that I've seen/heard. News this morning seems to have been handled by James Foster, who's associated with Montreal's CJAD.

It has been a few weeks now and I’m suspicious that they may be gone, hopefully not, but it would not surprise me with the way broadcasting is these days. But what irks me is that there is/was no mention of why they’re not there, as AspectRatio pointed out, unless I missed something.

The NewsTalk 1010 newscast at 6 a.m. this morning was provided by Karen Rebot of the Canadian Press

I heard it and asked myself if this was indeed Monday morning??

It's all very strange what's going on there

The jerry-rigged (not Jerry Agar-rigged) line-up subs keep saying they're in for Alex Pierson. So she's still there. She's also voicing a spot for seeds, for some reason, and that wouldn't likely happen if she left.

According to one previous poster, she's recovering from a serious health issue, so I'm assuming she'll be back eventually. Whenever "eventually" is.

And I believe his wife is a flight attendent which can be of great value when it comes to travelling, fares etc

Very sorry to hear this. I hope she gets back to normal soon. There's nothing worse than someone who depends on their voice for a living to lose it for a while.

Thanks for the update Jimy3000, that must be extremely frustrating for her! I wish her a speedy recovery, even if it hasn’t been very speedy so far.
