I don't watch every local newscast, but what makes you say that? 

I mainly watch CHCH and usually it's just the first 20 minutes. I think they are live at 6pm, but I'm pretty sure the 11pm is pre-recorded.

According to comments on the CHCH News Fans facebook page (yes, there is one), Simone is engaged to reporter Eric Vienneau. They've been dating for about a year and a half. So a few years until they'll need a mat leave fill in.

Reading the actual story, Letterman will appear on Thursday the 14th. The others will indeed be on Monday's episode.

That's a podcast. And they get viewers/listeners, so you're probably right.

Good for her. I did a quick interview with her when she was hosting an event at Mohawk College, while I was a journalism student, also at Mohawk.

I don't feel anyone currently on staff is even remotely experienced as her to take over her role. Yes, Rick is new to CHCH as her co-host, but he has decades of radio news experience. So I'm curious who gets it. I stand by my statement, but I wonder if Nicole Martin will come out of hiding, since abandoning her own show for what feels like years now, yet she is still listed as host on their website, and her instagram page. 

Anchoring is an easier job, so it should go to someone who has done their time in the field. Since the purge in 2015, no one currently there, or who joined after 2015, feels like a suitable candidate.

While I say anchoring is easy, there is much more live, in studio interviews and discussions on a morning show, then an evening newscast. So while hosting, I feel you do need to be a good conversationalist and interviewer for this role. Most of the last hour of Morning Live is just news headlines and interviews.

Jimmy appears to have resurfaced in Niagara, doing weekends on 105 The River. He probably will appear on Sister station 101 More FM. These two stations constantly seem to be changing their on-air people, for better or worse. Last week it appeared Jimmy was hosting the morning show, but now another name is in that slot so maybe he was covering a vacation.

Trending Now airs the previous days' episode at 5:30 PM. There was an ad or they were talking about it on the news that it will be airing at 5:30 (new episodes) and Bubba's "Sportsline" will air at 7.

Not to make a big thing about this, but while your comment is interesting, it appears false. I went to CHCH's website and looked at their schedule for every day the first week of July, and it shows Sportsline at 5:30pm, 7:00pm and 11:30pm.

Scott Fox did mornings on Z before he and Kat moved to The Beat. He was hired a few months ago to co-host mornings on another Evanov station Lite 92.1. His dad just happens to be an Evanov big wig. Ahem.
