New CHCH Morning Live co-host named
Simone Gavros has been named to replace Annette Hamm who is retiring June 19th after 40 years at CHCH
Simone has been the Morning Live remote reporter for the past few years.

Wow. A couple years in the field is all it takes now, as Matt Ingram said well deserved. Really? Slim pickings. Rick has decades of radio experience. Annette was a reporter for 20 years before she became co-host. I really thought they would hire outside as no one there now has that experience.

Louis Butko must be mystified. He did everything that was asked of him - sports, podcast, live remote hosting (with Simone) but no promotion.

Louis is long gone. He bailed after Rick got the job. He works for the Hamilton Tiger Cats last I heard.

According to comments on the CHCH News Fans facebook page (yes, there is one), Simone is engaged to reporter Eric Vienneau. They've been dating for about a year and a half. So a few years until they'll need a mat leave fill in.
