Not a doc’s office but in a thrift shop a while back heard two Roxy Music tunes back to back over the p.a. (Roxy Muzak?).  Both from the Manifesto album, “Angel Eyes” and “Dance Away”.  I didn’t hang around long enough to hear if “Trash” was cued up to play next.

One of my fondest memories of a weekend trip to Cleveland for the RR Hall of Fame and an Indians’ game was the 8th inning playing of the Official Rock and Roll Song of Ohio, “Hang On Sloopy”.  Everyone’s up for that one spelling out O H I O.

Former CBC News correspondent Neil Macdonald is in hot water for making disparaging comments about the funeral for Pope Francis.  Big deal you might think, that’s just standard operating procedure for anyone at the CBC when mocking Christianity.
The kicker…Macdonald is married to former CBC and CTV correspondent Joyce Napier, the current Canadian ambassador to the Holy See, y’know, the Vatican.
I don’t know if you guys are history buffs or not but you might not remember Neil Macdonald was the older brother of some guy named Norm.
Interesting that this is not the first, admittedly tenuous Weekend Update connection that SNL has with the Vatican.  Father Guido Sarducci was a frequent guest as gossip columnist for L’Osservatore Romano.

Yeesh, the pearl clutching and fainting couch, uhhh, fainting has really gotten tedious.  Have some fun, why don’t ya?  A guy with a microphone and camera has a few chuckles with some pretty ladies in a waste of time  laugher of a game and it’s an affront to the holiest of holies “journalism”.  Trust me if Hazel Mae were allowed to do the same with some guys, or gals (I don’t judge…), would panties be in a perpetual twist?

I didn’t even know where the microphone on/off button was located.  Not that I had anything interesting to say.
The only saving grace was that the nightmare didn’t sound all that different from what’s being broadcast over the station these days.
