New Canadian Streaming Service [Coming Soon?]

While watching CHCH yesterday, there was a brief ad for something called ParrotTV. No Details just Coming Soon. Has anyone else seen this?

Address for Parrot TV is 2844Dundas Street West, Toronto. The Channel Zero building.

Now you know why you saw the ad on CHCH.

Join TV plans to be an app for future entertainment, (whenever that will be, lol)

For now, feel free to be entertained while charging your car:  https://www.joinevtv.com/#test-popup-linkdef202f

Re: New Canadian Streaming Service [Coming Soon?]

Looks like there will be plans to offer both "free" and pay TV...
"Parrot TV offers free and subscription-based streaming of affiliated and unaffiliated live channels and on-demand content ("Content") available to you from time to time, either in packages or on a stand-alone basis, through www.Parrot-tv.ca , an Authorized Distributor"

Quoted from "Terms of use":

Re: New Canadian Streaming Service [Coming Soon?]

They sent out this newsletter a few days ago previewing some of the channels included: https://mailchi.mp/newsletter.parrot.tv/early-birds-5111071

It's nothing too special. Channel Zero's assets, a Newfoundland broadcaster, some existing FAST channels, etc. It's kind of interesting to see the paid channels from Channel Zero and Allarco on there. You'd think that would make their value to the pay-TV providers, uh ... zero. That's assuming the Allarco stuff is accurate. They launched two FAST-only channels last year.

I don't know how this will standout from Pluto TV, Plex, Tubi, Roku and any other FAST provider in Canada. The multi-nationals are already established in this space and have apps on almost everything you'd reasonably expect to watch TV on.
