The Corp. has a brand new batch of shows it's tubthumping as its best and brightest New Year line-up. Will you watch any of these?

The big premiere is an Allan Hawco show called "Saint Pierre" about a big city detective who effectively gets exiled to the island of St. Pierre-Miquelon in the mid-Atlantic. CBC is promoting this as one of its main new shows for the year.
Have to say the trailer didn't do much for me, but your mileage may vary.

I've been to St. Pierre. Lovely place. The last (and I believe only) murder was in the 19th century. I don't think there's been any real crime to speak of since the last time Al Capone used the island as a base for booze smuggling over 90 years ago.

I’ll watch “Stuff the British Stole” again, which I got hooked in as a podcast a couple of years ago, and “Son of a Critch”, a bit of a Wonder Years type show, safe and inoffensive!

As a big fan of Republic of Doyle back in the day, I will definitely watch Saint-Pierre.

No. That was easy.

Of course Corrie and Marketplace, possibly St. Pierre. The rest? Hard pass.

Outside of Marketplace and The Fifth Estate, probably not. And those two shows are topic-dependent for me.
The premise of Saint Pierre confuses me; why would a cop be exiled to work in another country?

Not that I will see every episode, but I'll watch, Son of a Critch, Wild Cards, Fifth Estate, Nature of Things, Family Feud Canada, Power and Politics With David Cochran, CBC Mornings With Heather Hiscox.

I will definitely give St. Pierre a watch.
I am a big fan of Jobert who did a great job on "Death in Paradise" and other shows.
She will give the show a real "international" feel.
