    AM Radio DOA?

    A veteran broadcaster is the latest to write an obit for AM radio.

    Hope he's wrong. 

    Worried he isn't.

    One thing I have noticed when I am running errands in my car, is the amount  of static I get on 680, 1010 and 1050 Once I get out of Toronto to Mississauga or Oakville everything clears up even on the semi locals from Buffalo etc. Especially frustrating if I am anywhere near a TTC Hybrid bus.

    AM is a band where I can hear literally around the world as a DXer and yet local signals can be crackly and even unpleasant at times. There are alternatives. It's time is nigh...
