Toronto Gets A WNBA Team. But Who Gets The Games?
I'm sure these games will be on the radio somewhere. But who will get them? Another rotating schedule between The Fan590 and TSN 1050? Sportsnet and TSN on cable? Or will it only go to one of them? And what happens on the radio when there's a conflict with other sports?
The answers, like the team name, are still to be revealed.

Probably no radio unless they produce it themselves and buy time on a fringe station.

I hope that whatever name they decide on will be well thought out.
They have the chance to think of something that will stand the test of time and also be really smart and catchy.
I never liked the name Raptors for the men's team.
Although it refers to a bird of prey or a vicious dinosaur it also means robber or plunderer, and even rapist.

The name 'Raptors' was dictated from day one by Stern and the NBA, to capitalize on the 'Jurassic Park' mania of the day. The 'contest' to pick a name for the team was a total hoax, to keep the team in the news until it started playing. Fake, phony, and sham.

Very little interest in the NBA. Zero interest in the WNBA. But I am not in the desired demographic, so I guess it really doesn't matter what I think.
