Where I live, Eastlink is currently having problems with NBC. It keeps losing the signal. In its place is a graphics board saying it's experiencing technical difficulties and is working to resolve it quickly. "So?" you might ask. The graphic also has the Cogeco logo on it.

Makes sense that smaller providers would share resources to keep expenses down.

Where is your NBC affilliate? If there are serious reception problems, doesn't the CRTC permit an affilliate signal to be brought in from another approved market?

This happened in London with Rogers too... NBC (WDIV) was not available when I flipped over at 6:30 for Lester Holt's newscast... had to switch to David Muir on ABC. The techical difficulties graphic did not have a providers logo, Rogers in this case.
