Yes, is he controversial, he can be, does he question what we are being fed in terms of various narratives? Yes.
And that being said, he raises some vital points, somewhere in the middle, is where we need to meet. He talks about some of the issues we face here in Canada and in the U.S. and what we need to be mindful of.
Rebel News has posted his talk from last night on YouTube, without any commentary.
The Danielle Smith government sponsored last night's event and overall it was well received. Yet it does threaten those who vehemently disagree and who Carlson called out.
Here is the video. He sort of reminds me of a modern day version of Andy Rooney, with a bit more grit.

You're more than welcome to keep him up on your side of the border.

He questions the narratives?
That would great.
He takes facts and distorts them for the first few minutes of the show and then spends the rest of the show shovelling piles and piles of BS on top.
His genius is that he sounds earnest when doing it. So you believe him if you don’t know anything.
If he gave his opinions, however slanted, I’d be fine with it, but he flat out lies constantly.

Funny, I don't recall Andy Rooney getting turfed from CBS as part of a deal for having the network fork over close to $800 million to settle a lawsuit related to dubious claims about election-rigging. Is that the new definition of "grit" these days?
Take a moment to read this, particularly the truth about some of the "narratives" Carlson likes to spin.

More like Mickey Rooney...but this guy isn't close to being funny.

Liars and exaggerators make honest discussion about difficult topics pretty nigh impossible. It's a challenge to even constructively critique the nuts and bolts of immigration policy, Covid measures, etc. These opportunists take very wee grains of truth and present them as a full-fledged loaf. And, sadly, mainstream outlets give them oxygen, and many people who perhaps instinctively have some degree of doubt and don't hear any real honest debate believe them. It has the feel of a successful psy-ops program.

Interesting how Carlson talks endlessly about democracy and freedom, even though he and his program on FOX did much to lessen both in the US. I am glad this event was covered by the "mainstream" media. No, the US election wasn't rigged and no, the US and it's economy isn't going to hell in a handbasket. And finally no, Canada is not some quasi dictatorship and socialist island to the north that America needs to invade or clamp down on.
I find it interesting when Tucker talks about Canada and our politics, it shows how little he really knows. All he does is compare the differences between the US and Canada and things he thinks we lack. He is oblivious to the fact our whole structure of government and legal system is not the same as what he is use to. And because it is different it automatically is inferior and less democratic in his mind.
Our various governments are far from perfect and have many many things that they can improve on. But having a lightweight fool like Tucker Carlson telling us what is wrong with life here, and what we should do to fix our problems isn't even remotely close to being the answer.
Real change can and does happen at the ballot box. It's all about democracy, isn't that correct Mr. Carlson.. .

I try to steer clear of politics here, but this one is pretty obvious. As John Moore noted on his show Friday, what credibility does a guy who cost his company $800 million in legal penalties have? He isn't exactly a paragon of virtue. He's the worst kind of con man - a very glib and good communicator who spews nothing but nonsense and gets rabid followers to believe him.
When his own actions prompts the unfortunate number one cable news network in the U.S. to fire their biggest star, it speaks volumes. He reminds me a lot of Alex Jones - odious, conspiratorial and without conscience, not caring who gets hurt as long as he gets publicity and makes money. Consequences be damned. I sometimes wonder if he really believes any of the BS he spews.
He's an awful man and all politicians here would do well to stop tainting themselves with guilt by association.

He traffics in white nationalism and the “Great Replacement Theory” along with homophobia and Islamophobia. He’s a hacky whiny disinformation merchant. Not to mention, a Russian asset.

The words “Tucker Carlson” and “valid points” should never be used in the same sentence. Just saying.

Without the Fox News audience his reach is greatly diminished. Remember when Glenn Beck was the ne plus ultra of parafascist pundit? He is still around but few hear his words.

The is the guy who vehemently touted Donald Trump as the greatest leader of all time, but then behind the scenes he said he despised him.
Carleson is a total sham who sings and dances for money
He is a trust fund kid from the Swanson TV dinner family.
He's never had to "work" a day in his life.

And to top it all off, he says men should tan their testicles to increase testosterone.

I guess, posting Alex Jones' latest video is out of the question, then. lol

Preaching to the choir in Alberta. I suspect he would receive a much colder welcome in solid Liberal Red Toronto.

While a choir was most definitely assembled, Tucker is fringe in Alberta, too.
