Actor Andre Braugher Of "Homicide: Life On The Street" Fame Dies At 61
He was considered one of the best TV actors of his day, and made a huge impression in shows like "Homicide: Life On The Street" and more recently in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." Andre Braugher had an intensity in all his performances that made him stand out. He was only 61, and is definitely gone too soon.

I don't know who this person is because I never watched the Homicide or Brooklyn series.

He was also on the final season of the Good Fight that had morphed out of the The Good Wife. He had a very distinctive voice. RIP.

He must have done a lot of voice work in his career as well. Great voice. Very sad he passed so young, he was a talented man.

I don't think there is any real rule, beyond what the company decides. I still occasionally go channel surfing and see Larry King's half hour long infomercial for some bogus prostate remedy. He's been gone since January 2021!

Braugher's cause of death has been revealed. It was lung cancer.

I was saddened to hear about his sudden passing. I've been a fan of his since 1993 when I first saw him on Homicide Life On The Street and followed his career. I passed by one of the ads for Virgin + on the sidewalk 2 days ago and found out about his death yesterday. He was a Juilliard trained actor who first excelled in serious roles and later demonstrated his exceptional comedy chops in The Good Fight (an excellent show) and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. RIP.

Where can I stream Homicide Life on the Street?
An update on your question from TV Answer Man. Apparently, it's the music rights that may be holding up any syndication or streaming for this series. Attempts are being made to secure them and then it's expected it might turn up on a streaming service somewhere.
