I find him funny most of the time, but the produced bits on the Daily Show not so much. One thing he excels at is interviews, especially more serious topics. Noah is also a good guest, but he doesn't really appear much on other talk shows. Did see him do a sit down with Wendy Mesley who I never thought was much of an interviewer, but the chat with her was very good.

The Daily Show under Jon Stewart had something to say in every segment whether it was pointing out hypocrisy, inequality or double standards.
Under Trevor Noah it was mostly just, “As a foreigner that looks funny to me!” or “Hey! Some of the things that the US does are similar to the things African countries do!” Since returning to the studio from the pandemic it has finally sharpened its focus and produced the best episodes of his entire run. It has been a long wait for such a short payoff.
His fawning interview style was always annoying to me. Every movie was always “a beautiful story” and he gushed over his guests like he was giving them a lifetime achievement award even if they were just starting their careers.
