[Sigh.] They just can't stop themselves can they? I think it was radio comedian Fred Allen who once said, "Imitation is the sincerest form of television." These constant reboots have to stop. The Honeymooners was a product of its time. There's no way they can remake it today, unless of course they abandon the original premise and make it a brand new show that actually has nothing to do with the original, while cashing in on the Jackie Gleason classic's reputation.
They actually put out a big screen movie remake of "The Honeymooners" with an all black cast in 2005. It was a box office bomb and the critics rightly savaged the film.

working-class comedy centered around new wife Ruth and her husband Alex who are determined to have a marriage where they are true equals in every way. But what happens when a marriage has two heads of the household? Are they co-heads? Or no head at all?
This wasn't the premise of the Honeymooners. Even in the original Honeymooners the title was sarcastic as there was no indication even in the original sketches that Ralph and Alice were newly married and there was certainly no effort or a desire by Ralph to be "co-equal".

Agreed. Hollywood has run out of ideas. Coming Soon: Godzilla Goes to Washington - the first 20sec feature available only on Tik Tok. Given attention spans these days, even that may be 10 seconds too long.
