So apparently CFRB is showcasing 9/11 segments all through this week. Most of the ones I've heard are earnest, but I still find them distasteful.
Then there's this.

It occurred right after the 9/11 events on some radio stations. But was it going too far?
When Your Favorite Songs Were Banned in the Wake of 9/11
This puts me in mind of an old post from Feb. 2019, which outlined the bizarre circumstances of banning songs, CHUM-AM, a local TV station and the Iraq War. Just to show you don't have to be in the U.S. to have this happen. You can read that story here.

Here's the list of songs from Wikipedia that were banned by Clear Channel after 9/11. Some are self-explanatory. Others are completely baffling.

Many people completely lost their marbles after the attacks. In some cases it was understandable.

this is the kind of story that Newstalk 1010 and other media outlets need to feature to give listeners/viewers a break from being overexposed to the usual tattered, and tired September 11th stories...
it's worth reading. 🚐🚐🚐🚐🚐🇺🇸

Very touching story. Definitely worth reading. Thank you for posting it. Love the little van emoji's.

Listened to CFRB for a bit this morning. An interview with some muslim guy about the unfair persecution of minorities in the bloodlust years following September 11 2001. Getting Teabag Agar to do it? That's rich.
