There aren't a lot of places for the sports franchise to go in the market, and CHML seems like a no-brainer, especially since the Bell rights agreement has lapsed.
Ticats game radio broadcasts in limbo after TSN 1150 Hamilton switches to business feed

Seems logical the Tiger Cat broadcast rights would return to 900.CHML aired the games from 1950-77 and 1984-2015

It's not inconceivable that Bell could keep Ticats games on a Bloomberg News station. Anyone remember the late 70s/early 80s when CKO had the radio rights to Maple Leaf and NFL games?

Yep. If the contract is with Bell Media and CKOC-AM, it doesn't matter what's on outside of the game if it's not specified. At renewal though, it would make sense to go back to CHML.

The Hamilton Spectator muses about whether the Ti-Cats will simply take their games online and perhaps bypass traditional radio altogether.

There was a point in time I recall Funny 1410 in London airing sports overflow from CJBK back when they had both the London Knights and the Toronto Blue Jays and there were games on at the same time, which sometimes happened at the beginning of the OHL season or during the OHL playoffs. The Jays would usually air on 1410 while 1290 had the Knights.
Based on that I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ti-Cats air on a Bell-owned Bloomberg station.

I would hope that 1150 Hamilton will still carry the Bulldogs and Leafs games. It usually comes in pretty strong in Ottawa.
