Is this it for Mr. Peanut? Maybe at his funeral they should do a "roast"...instead of flowers maybe send some "planters"... and if you're not johnvinced, err...I mean convinced about doing that...then maybe the funeral procession should do one last drive by Peanut Plaza on Don Mills Rd.

Or if all else fails, as Cousin Brucie used to say..."Turn him into peanut butter!"
Also, it's sort of interesting that we are talking about this at all, but then again, most of us did work for "peanuts" when we were in the business...
Wow, these aren't getting any better...

So...two peanuts walk into a bar.
I heard one was a salted..
Kind of wild Mr. Peanut living until 104.
However, rumour has it he was a bit of a health nut..

Apparently, during the autopsy, rigor mortis had set in...yes, the coroner said it was the worst case of
peanut brittle he had ever seen...

In the last US election, Mr. Peanut voted Republican...
He thought Donald Trump might be a little nuts...
Online!
I heard he once auditioned for the Andy Griffith Show, but didn't get the role of Goober.

Apparently, during the third quarter, there will be a followup ad dealing with Mr. Peanut's funeral. I doubt CTV will run it. Far more important we see the 74th running of Canadian Tire Man and A & W Man commercials.

Here's another song possibility ... maybe Dale Patterson could feature it on his online station. It's going to be hard for me to listen to it from now on without cracking up.

Oh, one other detail regarding the funeral for Mr. Peanut-
It was announced that former President Jimmy Carter would be doing the eulogy. Carter had been friends with Mr. Peanut, since his days growing up on the family farm in Plains, Georgia.

Mr. Peanut isn't dead. He's just gone to a butter place.

Saturday Night Live joke (from Weekend update)
"Mr. Peanut has died...and he has been cremated" lol (they showed a pic of a jar of peanut butter)

I am reminded of when Chuckles the Clown attended a circus parade dressed as Peter Peanut, and was shelled by a rogue elephant.

When life strikes fiction: The sad death of Kobe Bryant in a helicopter crash has put a sudden halt to the social media promotion of the "Mr. Peanut Dies In A Crash" campaign - although it appears it will still run during the Super Bowl.
“We wanted you to know that we are saddened by this weekend’s news and Planters has paused all campaign activities, including paid media, and will evaluate next steps through a lens of sensitivity to those impacted by this tragedy,” the company said in a statement.

I hear they're looking to replace the ad with one where Mr. Peanut dies from an allergic reaction.
