Hey, they’re a Toronto team, what do you expect? Mind you, at least the Raptors made the playoffs! We really don’t have the best pro-sports teams but pay them like we do!

To be fair, the team is indeed riddled with injuries...
& that's exactly the point! Jays don't suck unless they just decided to be injured so they don't have to repeat last year.
The number two team last year, so close to being the champs!
Maybe next year if they can fix the team to be a solid one once again with no injuries...
(I hope I literally mean next year not next year...next year...next year like the Leafs!!)
I'd cheer for the Rock but they left Toronto to be a Hamilton team, so...NO!!

Too many men left on base. How many times have they had the bases loaded with nobody out, and scored zip? However, once the endless injuries heal, they will rebound and be a playoffs contender.

Will everyone PLEASE stop twisting their colons inside out? We're barely 2 weeks into the season and already some of you are throwing in the towel.

This. Fans get their bowels in an uproar every April if their team isn’t leading the division. Baseball is a marathon, not a sprint.

On the bright side, seven of the Ameican League teams are below .500. The other eight are barely above .500. One disturbing stat is that the Jays have the second worse run differential [57-82] in the AL. Only the White Sox [49-79] are worse, and they swept us. However, it is only April. If things haven't improved by the All Star Break, then it is time to be concerned.

I think we have high expectations since the Jays did well last season, but that one started off on the wrong foot too! I think, like a couple of the comments here, that it’s early days still for them, lots of time to get it together! (Hopefully before I go to a game next month!)

Injuries plus the loss of some great players from last season are some great reasons to press the panic button early.

Many teams have seasons derailed with injuries early on. It happened to the Florida Panthers in hockey this year.

Jeff Hoffman sucks, but Jays are only 2 games back from 1st place this morning (April 15th). It was basically "that close" last year at the end of the season (September), in terms of the top teams in the AL east

What can one say about the Blue Jays! It seems we are losing players daily and we have to play with what we have. My thought...why don't they play Miles Straw more? He is a good player and he needs to be more active. I'm not sure why John Schneider is holding him back. I guess we just have to keep the support and hope they will get out of this rut they are in.

I'm perplexed by John Schneider's continuing confidence in closer Jeff Hoffman.
He was horrible again last night, loading the bases, then giving up a grand slam.

Agreed. He's just not reliable any more. I wish they'd try Louis Varland in the closer role.

Well the Jays sure didn’t suck yesterday! 8-0 in the first inning,10-4 final, let’s hope they’ve turned a corner! Now, about them Raptors…..
