Soooooo I'm sure Tracey Moore, Sid, the "new" host and others must be really "happy" to be fired so Di can make a comeback.  

The staff being excited in these videos says it all.... they probably didn't like the former hosts very much and wanted her back.....

Never watched it before.  Won't watch it now. Other than bored retirees, and shut-ins, who actually watches 'morning' shows?

So all along, she knew she was coming back giving the boot to Sid and Meredith, and cancelled Tracy and Cheryl's 5th hour of BT.

I wake around 7:30am-ish and tune in to BT as my warm up session to get myself into the groove for the day.

Since the announcement of the new co-hosts, I don't see Dina until 8am.

Anyone know if she was on-air at 6am, 6:30am, or 7am?

I remember reading a post and some debate on whether the hits involving Dina are pre-recorded. I watched this morning, and I believe they are. Earlier in the show, Tim wished his daughter a happy birthday during the live hit and during the first segment involving Dina, Tim admitted that he forgot it was his daughter's birthday this weekend and apologized profusely and wished her happy birthday again.

Also, when the show transitioned from news to the first segment, Dina generically stated "Thank you for that" as part of the intro and not acknowledging the actual person.

If these are pre-recorded, the hosts do a pretty good job at hiding it given that Tim and Devo wore the same outfits as the pre-recorded material.

I'd heard over the years that apparently for a mixture of pre-recorded segments on different days within the industry, it's common to clip on tags/identifiers on the clothing racks to the hangers or to the inside of suit jackets, pant waistbands, backs of ties (if worn), shoe insoles, etc. identifying the day/segment number so the wardrobe is consistent. If they're taping a few back-to-back they'll change between them (even like the taping of game shows in a concentrated block in one or two days). Plus, these days, taking photos too as a visual reference point is trivial.

Very interesting about the "forgot the birthday" thing. Oops!

Just announced this morning, Frankie Ferragine is retiring from BreakfastTV. This will be his final month, he wants to spend more time with his family and his community.

 

So which station is he going to? 😉

From the video, it honestly sounds like he wants to spend more time with the family and to just put an end to the early mornings that he has to do with BTV (which sounds a lot like what Dina herself said when she originally left the show).

Now if he does wind up joining a rival morning show, he needs to  show up in a costume and pull off the head to the shock of his new co-hosts. Those new co-hosts must then be subsequently fired by the station owners.

I just hope it's not Stella that takes his place. There's something about her presentation and reporter skills that are just "off".
