I'm not sure how I would feel taking a job at Corus right now, because I'm not sure how long any gig would last. But if you're willing to give it a shot, you could be the new afternoon drive voice for CKBT-FM, aka The Beat 91.5. I believe the station is licenced to Kitchener, but the show would be done out of the studios in Guelph.
Details on Milkman's site.

What if no one applies before the deadline? Will they have to slimulcast a show from another Corus pop station or something?

91.5 The Beat (CKBT) first went on the air in January 2004 and started off with more of a hip hop format. It was originally owned by CanWest Global who only had one other radio station, CJZZ in Winnipeg, with a jazz format.
Corus bought both stations in 2006 and The Beat immediately became CHR/Top 40. To their credit the station has always been more popular in K/W than Bell's Virgin Radio that also adopted CHR/Top 40 in 2016.
CTV Kitchener is full of local Virgin Radio spots all day and local news will cover many Virgin promotions like local food drives. Somehow The Beat with far less promotion and no local TV seems to still best Virgin in the CMA. 105.3 Virgin Kitchener also has a much larger coverage area with 100,000 watts compared to 3,600 watts for 91.5.

That would explain why they are never heard clearly in Toronto. It is usually a battle between them, CBC Barrie or WXXI Rochester with none of them dominating.

Agreed, CKBT is always in 3rd place in the GTA, unless near the Bluffs (WXXI) or northern burbs (CBC)...

CTV local news viewership age is mainly 60+, barely the demographic Virgin radio is targeting.... it's a major mismatch for cross promotion.
But I agree, the Beat has always been more established in the market. Maybe because they had a 12 year head start. The Beat has also had better announcers over the years, many of whom ended up going on to bigger and better things (like Mocha). Someone in the early days knew how to spot great young talent.
But interestingly, Virgin had a monster Fall 2024 book. They beat the Beat in all key demographics including Adults 25-54 by 2.5 points. Possibly a fluke book, which all stations experience from time to time.

Great information The Wiz. I agree that The Beat had and usually has better on air talent than Virgin. They seemed to be live most of the time. The Virgin promos run all day and into prime time, so even though CTV local news is mostly 60+ they have a lot of promo that is running on shows that hit their main demo.
Didn't know that Virgin had a good book in 2024. I know that Virgin would beat them full coverage but The Beat has always upped them in the central market which is where they compete head to head.

I know CTV London airs promos from Pure Country's morning show hosts and segments from Virgin Radio's KP from the morning show during the 6PM newscast. The Corus stations in London had little promotion you would see ads for FM96, 103.1 Fresh Radio and Country 104 fully ad wrapped on London Transit buses. The Rogers Radio stations in Kitchener have more promotion as well. You see ads for their stations on Rogers TV Waterloo and CHYM 96.7 ads on Grand River Transit buses. I do remember seeing "Lite 92" ads on the busses in K/W as well. But do you remember the ads on the TTC, Billboards, TV etc?
