Pat Tabler leaving Blue Jays broadcasts

While there was some speculation recently surrounding the future of Buck Martinez in the Blue Jays broadcast booth, Sportsnet actually announced today that Pat Tabler will be leaving the broadcast after 17 years.

Did Tabby jump or was he pushed?
Anything I've read is vague and uses phrases like "parted company with" that make alarms go off.

He's no Dan or Buck, but head and shoulders over the clowns on the Apple TV broadcasts we have shoved down our throats.

I will miss Pat Tabler.  He was very knowledgeable about the game and such a nice guy!
