After weeks of hints and teases, the world's oldest rock band has confirmed it will be releasing a new LP on July 10th.
The album, called "Foreign Tongues," features a final appearance by late drummer Charlie Watts, and special guest stars including Ringo Starr, Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney and more.
And of course, there's the obligatory preview song from the new work, called "In The Stars." It doesn't even really sound like Mick Jagger to me, but he's 82 now, so there's that. You can hear it below.
I wonder if Q107 or CHUM-FM will feature any of the 14 original tunes on the disc - the Stones' first album of all new material since 2005. It's pretty remarkable they're still around - especially Keith Richards, who seems to exist outside of time and is rumoured to have once had a pet dinosaur.
A new Rolling Stones album — Foreign Tongues — is on the way

CHUM-FM?
It's rare new music from a huge band with a history in Toronto. Is there no possibility they might consider playing a track if it hits the charts?

Absolutely not, and it can’t possibly chart.
(Got to hear most of the album; it’s pretty good!)

Let the publicity landslide begin. Not only will they be on, but three of them will appear on separate shows.

If it is to be coming from a new album called "Foreign Tongues" I hope that CKNT (Sauga 960) will find time to play it.

Not a chance it will play on Q107 but who knows. CHUM FM definitely not.

It might get played on AM740 since they played “Angry” from the Stones 2023 release “Hackney Diamonds”, they still like Mick & Co.! I think it’s interesting that we’re wondering which stations might play the new Stones track, once upon a time they’d being falling over themselves to be the first to get it on air!

Q played it today.

Just gave In the Stars a listen - not bad! Mick does sound a bit different - autotune, maybe? I could see 97.7, 94.9 and 107.9 playing it, possibly 88.1 & 102.1. I don't think 92.5, 95.3, 99.9 or 104.5 will. My main curiousity will be if 98.1 will touch it. They do "rock out" at times. Probably why you no longer hear it while in the dentist's chair.

88.1, 102.1, and 98.1 will definitely not play it.
CHFI barely even plays currently charting pop music anymore.

I found that odd also. I thought CHUM FM as of current times has been trying to swing more into a dance direction rather than a rock direction.

The closest thing you might hear to The Stones on CHUM 104.5 would probably be "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera.

I think the last Rolling Stones hit they ever played and I do recall it, is back in 97/98 with their hit "Anybody Seen my Baby" which was charting. Great song.

And one that courted controversy with k.d. lang.

The Rolling Stones Set For Appearance On ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’
Hopefully Keith Richards appearance on The Tonight Show today will be better than Mick Jagger's last night. Mick rarely appears on TV these days and why Fallon and NBC would have the legend in a very unfunny and childish skit is really odd. No interview, nothing that I saw about the new album, just another hard to watch skit that Jimmy Fallon features too often. Why not an interview??? I guess that made too much sense...![]()
