Let me say the quiet part out loud, and this is a message to the moderator more than anyone else. Clearly there’s a cognitive issue at play here. If you’re comfortable continuing this, whatever the unintended consequences, be our guest. But ultimately, the power is yours to stop it.

CP24 was very extensive, but very messy. Overly produced with too many needless elements for the on-air staff and control room crew to stumble over. Global was unwatchably cheap-looking in its presentation... hope Bell doesn't fully lean into tacky virtual sets like Corus. CBC was doing its classic dull CBC things. City was sterile and lifeless, zero personality, a sad shell of its former self. CHCH was good!

I stumbled across this really fascinating video from BBC News, explaining the science behind why some people "misremember" significant world events.
I find this interesting given a series of recent interviews I've seen with news anchors recounting their experiences from September 11th, 2001... including this conversation with Lisa LaFlamme and Rod Black, who were hosting Canada AM on that horrible, horrible Tuesday morning.
LaFlamme makes note of hopping in a news truck and driving across the border immediately after the program... certainly an exhilarating story that's been repeated several times over the years:

The thing is... it's not true... as indicated in this footage from Canada AM's coverage the following morning, September 12th, with Lisa firmly behind the anchor desk in Toronto.

Wildly disastrous results for CHUM… and what a fall from grace for those Indie darlings! Coincidentally, both also happen to have the cockiest managers in the market. Some explaining to do!
