So sad to learn of the passing of Don Daynard. I was so fortunate to have learned from him when I got to produce his show at CHFI. He and Erin Davis were my radio school. He had such a way to connect with the listener.He was always looking for the laugh. I learned so much just from being in the studio with him. Got to hang out with him and his very close gang some weekends up in Oliphant too.He got a kick out of how young I was and that I hadn’t heard his jokes before. He used to say “I have ties older than you.” Thanks for the laughs.“…And if you’re driving, watch out for the other guy”Rest In Peace Daz!I have more photos but this one makes me laugh. So sorry to hear about Mike Filey. I worked with him when he was a contributor on Don and Erin’s show at CHFI and he wrote a nice article on my grandfather who brought back ashes of an unknown soldier from WWII.
