It's interesting to us here but but does the average person listening to talk radio in 2022 care about the demise of a country station 20 years ago?  That's a conversation for a bar full of co-workers, not listeners to a morning show.  We're too self-indulgent sometimes.

Well either you were a terrible program director or a pompous consultant. I've never heard of you, so I think you're neither...

If you hate the recanting of a story that was of "human value," you're missing the point of interviewing period, regardless of how long ago an event happened. And ironically, in dealing with consultants from across North America for the last 30 years, achieving an atmosphere that is "like a conversation in a bar," is a home run for both the listeners and the host....

But thanks for the condescending slight... I hope for everyone else, sharing moments from a current working show is still welcomed on this board...

We just discussed the truth about 92.5, CISS-FM last week on my show.
Jeff Lumby and I were there. And there was no meal... Envelopes were handed out right there.
There was no "On my God, we're locked out" drama.. Who wrote that garbage?
Here's what actually happened...(But it was still really bizarre...And still really bad)

"Shoes" has won so many awards, for years I have just referred to him as "Wayne of the Year."  Just an awesome person, great attitude and phenomenal professional.....

Sorry to hear of your loss at this time. RA.... My heart certainly goes out to you and your family.. BTW, good move on the removal of the "goof". You seem to be a very fair person. There's a shortage of your types.. We could use more of you...

Our circumstance is grossly different from Roundhouse. Not that I need to get into details, but we don't have that kind of overhead. Not a fraction of it. We are now finding a mix between local and agency buys. For example, my title sponsor will be announced 1st day of the New Year. They are National, but manufacture locally. They also have naming rights to the studio itself. I know a number of those that were at Roundhouse. These paths are not the same...There are no preconceived or unreasonable numbers that we need to hit out of the gate to stay alive... If the first Numeris number was a 0,3, it would just be our first number....

As for CKNT (Which calls letters are not used, unless in a CRTC or a legal capacity..) Newstalk Sauga960 will be Numeris in 1 year. I have been there for 11 months. It takes years of planning and hard work to even begin to think of results, let alone market share. 960 started in the "Bizzarro World," Now it's not. There is sacrifice that goes into this. I'm sure those with any real capacity in this industry, can understand just how much goes into making things work. Changes, in my experience with start ups, continue until you have found the right "recipe." This will be be an ongoing process...... When I started in Calgary, at TheFAN960, they had dashes....It took 6 and a half years to get to Number #1, 25-54  Mornings.
