Hello.
This is not radio/tv/media related, But I'm just introdusing myself.
I'm not part of the industry, but I'm a life long radio fan and I love looking up radio info and listening to radio stations from around the world and here at home.
My dreem job was to be a radio broadcaster, and I've allwase wanted to visit the studios of radio stations like chum, ez rock now boom, mix fm now vergin radio, the old cbc galaxie music channels, cbc radio and others.
I evan like listening to ethnic radio for the music and trying to learn the languages.
My spelling is bad so, please corect me.
And, I'm getting used to formating on this site.
Hope I'm welcomed to contribute on this forum.
Best regards, The radio fan from Scarborough, ontario.

Welcome to the club and feel free to post your thoughts here whenever you want. You don't have to be in radio to contribute. Your thoughts and opinions count just as much as some of the grizzled veterans here. Because you're one of the important ones - an actual listener!

Welcome to the big yellow board. We used to have a member known as 'The Stickler', a spelling and grammar aficionado. He/she would have loved you.

Welcome to our site Mr. Bluffs. Like you, I have never been in the business but am a radio geek fascinated by radio formats, market ratings etc. And yes back in the day I was able to book a tour of local radio stations including CFRB, CHUM and CKFH here and WGR and WHTT in Buffalo. We're talking 1970 here and early 80's in Buffalo. You will learn a great deal about the industry from the seasoned veterans who are/were on the air or from those in the background on the technical side maintaining the transmitters. One last point. If there is something you are curious about or simply don't know the answer, simply ask. There will be a member here who will know. Remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question if you don't know the answer.
