The Canadian rocker made an offer to come to Ottawa and help them redefine what counts as CanCon. But so far, it seems they don't want him to Run To You for advice. He claims after an official expression of interest, he's now being repeatedly ignored by the minister in charge.
Turns out he thinks the definition of Canadian content is too restrictive.
"Mr. Adams said in an interview that none of the many musicians in Canada he knows have been consulted by the CRTC on changes to the definition of Cancon, which he thinks is currently too narrow and excludes Canadian musicians who work globally.
“I’d be happy to talk to them if they could be bothered,” he added.
