Many classic sitcoms from the old Uncle Earl's site have been sorted & organized via Internet Archives. The new site
can be accessed at sitcomsonline.com. Also, at the bottom of the first or second screen of listings, look carefully
and you will find a free streaming link to Antenne TV in Detroit and two more links to MeTV channels in Missouri.
If you enjoy classic TV you will find these streaming links invaluable. Enjoy!!

Thanks for these! The third one doesn't work (at least for me), but the other two are working great.

I can't get #3 to operate, either, but I'm grateful to have the other two, especially MeTV!

By the way, there is a huge menu list of other available video services on there, some which work and others that don't.
Have a look here.
Those are from the States, but it also lists other countries. Not sure if they work or not.

I was poking around in the U.S. section and yes many of the channels do not work. I found some that do that may be of interest to non OTA viewers. Comet is available on KTVO-DT-3 and KRCO-DT-2. Grit [Television With Backbone] can be seen on KYOU-DT-5. I also found a Grit-Xtra channel. For those unfamiliar with Grit, think loads of 1950's/60's Westerns and movies where things blow up real good. I also found MYTV on KMIZ-DT-3. Some programming may differ from the MYTV Buffalo affilliate on ch 49.

While not a full exhaustive test, I did find that for several of the non-working channels in your browser could be viewed by pasting the link into VLC's Network URL & it plays .. YMMV.

Thanks for the tip. However, I haven't a clue about pasting. That is something I did in Kindergarten. When it comes to computers, I am just like Homer Simpson. "Press any key. WHERE'S THE ANY KEY?"

Some more exploring brought me the TVS Quiz Show Network. First up I watched a 1956 or 57 episode of the NBC game show Tic! Tac! Dough! hosted by Jack Barry complete with ads and network promos. Idea is the same as the Hollywood Squares except the contestant must answer the questions based on the topics offered on the tic tac toe board. Next up was a 1956 episode of the Revlon sponsored $64,000 Question. It is the only series to knock I Love Lucy out of the top spot in the Neilsen ratings. [1955-56] This particular episode was interesting because it featured Dr. Joyce Brothers winning $16,000 by correctly answering questions on her area of expertise which was boxing. She would eventually win the $64K Two other contestants moved up the money scale with their knowledge of the Bible and American History. The questions asked were far tougher than anything you see on Jeapordy today. At the end of each episode, the credits moved so slowly up the screen, you could actually read them.

Glad some of you are enjoying these nostalgic sites. Unfortunately with the $64K Question, the truth came out years later that some of the contestants were being given the correcct answers ahead of time. This scandal resulted in the
rapid decline in popularity of the big money quiz shows.

NBC game shows Dotto and Twenty One were the two game shows that were investigated by the U.S. Congress and former contestants had to admit that the fix was in. Dotto was gone in August 1958. Twenty One followed in October. While no proof came out of the $64,000 Question or its spinoff the $64,000 Challenge being fixed, it was a case of being tarred with the same brush. CBS pulled the plug on both game shows in September and November 1958. The scandal had lasting effects on game shows in the 1960's. In the Art Fleming era, all Jeapordy champions were retired after five appearances. They were permitted to return to compete in the Tournament of Champions.

Easy Peasy ..
1) Press "Copy" to copy link that won't play
2) In VLC .. Media , Open Network Stream
3) Paste the Network URL that you copied in Step1 then Press Play
Enjoy : )) .. I just tested 5 links that wouldn't play in Chrome & 4 of them played in VLC.
