Some of Earl's jackets would make Herb Tarlek proud.

I feel like I should remember these commercials but I absolutely don't. The external establishing shot looks familiar though.

Yes, I'm aware, hence the "external establishing shot looks familiar though".

No relation to "Any Palladini Is A Pal Of Mine..."

By the way, I'm told that the famous ad slogan for the Pine Tree Ford Lincoln dealership in Woodbridge was originally thought up by a very young Rick Moranis. Who knew?

Re: Casey Togtema Meets Earl Warren...

Togtema turned out to be a crook. After he died in 1989, it was revealed his dealership was involved in fraud. A number of employees were convicted.

That's right Earllllll...How do we do it????  Volume!!!! Volume Earl!!!!

These ads were iconic...and the trick to cars moving fast, was Volume.

Pete and Geets on CFNY used to Lampoon Earl and Casey back in the day and Geets had their "Schtick" down to a tee!!!

Here is an aircheck from  Pete and Geets and the morning show on CFNY. Probably one of the best morning show teams ever. They were fun, intelligent and creative.

Re: Casey Togtema Meets Earl Warren...

I loved CFNY back in those days.
I was blown away when I got to Toronto that a commercial radio station was playing music that my UBC radio stations played. and Pete and Geets were  classic radio jocks.
I don't think the current gen z-ers know what radio could really be like.

Not CFNY, but their original stomping ground.

Re: Casey Togtema Meets Earl Warren...

Back when I was growing up, you could always find out what the dj's looked like at your favourite top 40 station by picking up the station's weekly music survey at a record store. MOR stations like CFRB were more challenging. Unless the radio personalities appeared in a newspaper ad, you had no idea what they looked like. After seeing an ad featuring Wally Crouter and Bill Stephenson for the first time, my immediate reaction was Gee, they don't look like they sound. Of course now, you can just go the station website to see what the onair staff look like.
