I tuned in to catch the round table this morning on CFRB and Jerry Agar was one of the guest. I can honestly say that I don’t think I’ve ever heard him so cranky first thing in the morning. John Moore sounded miffed with him to boot. I’m tempted to tune into his show today to hear if his head pops….!

Which topic sent him on spin cycle?
Something of interest to a teabagger, I'd guess.

Has he performed his hosting duties for the 'Come From Away' show and brunch contest? He might be grumpy over that, be it pending, or recently completed. 🤔

I believe that was last weekend - and he had one of his winners on as a guest later in the week!

I'm glad I slept late today. Earlier this week, Agar asked his listeners if there was any need for Canada Post (prompted by the CUPW strike vote). As is often the case, he didn't know what to say when 2 callers told him their small businesses depend on Canada Post because it's economical and dependable for parcel shipping.
Also this week, he railed against Toronto's idea to raise the hotel tax to help pay for the World Cup. It would only affect him if he stayed in a local hotel, which he likely doesn't very often. But that didn't stop him from screaming, and allowing callers to spew irrelevant nonsense about what happened to Olympic venues in Athens and Sarajevo.

Agar sounds good when he is just blathering on by himself or with callers who don't have much information or experience.
Whenever he comes up against someone who has real life experience in politics, business, economics, etc he gets wiped.
Case in point his resent humiliation by David Crombie.
One of Toronto's greatest mayors, and federal Indian Affairs minister among other things.
Crombie wiped the floor with Agar who kept insisting Crombie could have ended the residential school system overnight in the early 90s.
At one point Crombie told Agar to "bug off."
Agar waited until the next day when Crombie was not there to defend himself to launch a tirade against him.
What a pathetic weasel.
