Re: Halloween At Your Local Radio Station...

It's funny the things that stick in your brain.

Here's an actual joke I've never forgotten told by future famed Boston morning man Lorne Owens (at the time known on air as "L.O.")  when he was still at WEBR in Buffalo early in his career around 1972.

-----

Q: What did Roy Rogers gave his horse for Halloween?

A: A Trigger treat.

------

Despite material like that, he still went on to have an amazing career!

Re: Halloween At Your Local Radio Station...

The Golden West radio stations in Swift Current, Sask. opened their doors to hand out candy (although you had to be there before 3 PM to claim it.)

Never seen this before, and they didn't do this at any station here when I was a kid. I would have been thrilled as a radio loving trick-or-treater to go into any station for a treat - although the treat would have been being at an actual radio station!

Bravo to them for making the effort.

From sweet sounds to sweet treats! Free candy at the radio station!

George Why do you always come home half drunk? That's because I run out of money.                                            Waiter. there is a fly in my soup. Sir, the chef used to be a tailor.                                                                                     Pardon me sir, could I have your name? Certainly. Hey do you think we're related?                                                       Where does the Lone Ranger take his garbage? To da dump, to da dump, to da dump, dump, dump.                         OK OK! I see the big hook. I know when to quit.
