CKNT (what unfortunate call letters) was just a blip on Bullard's life, it hardly bears mention.
As for Vaisman calling him Bullards, just ad that to the list of modern news anchors mispronouncing very well known people in Obits, like former Lieutenant Governor David OWN-lee.
God knows what some 20-something news anchor will say when Jean Chretien dies.(chu-REE-tyon?)

The Toronto Sun's tribute to Bullard contains comments from John Moore, Jim Richards, and former CFRB P.D. Mike Bendixen.
Mike Bullard was the everyday Canadian comic who stayed Canadian until the end

What a bizarre station that was, and continues to be. Here's a photo from X of a 2018 launch photoshoot. I think that's comic/writer Lawrence Morgenstern (himself passing in 2022) on the photo's far left next to Bullard.

Not to belabour it but The Star did a good job with their Obit to Bullard Monday.
It both quoted words of praise for his talents, and did not downplay his abhorrent behaviour, and sad failure to mark his end of life.

Trust Warmington to somehow mangle the facts so it reads like Bullard had harassment charges filed against Bullard rather than vice versa.
his friends who understood the toll the dark period of his legal troubles caused him in the harassment case against his former girlfriend Cynthia Mulligan, also a beloved television figure.

Mike Bullard also had a show on 820 CHAM during their brief attempt at talk radio. This was before he was on 1010, I believe.

The Truth.......
A number of people online have been using his sad death as a pretext to relitigate Bullard's case. I find it interesting that in the Facebook rant that's been posted Bullard focuses entirely on his charges for bail violations and an allegation in the Star that he stalked Mulligan. What he doesn't address is his original charge and arrest- he only mentions that arrest in passing. The fact is had Bullard not contacted Mulligan after she told him to stop contacting her and moreover had he stopped once the police visited him and *warned* him, he never would have been arrested, never would have been charged, and wouldn't have been fired be CFRB. That 5 years later he was still unable to take responsibility for his mistakes and was instead blaming everyone else goes a long way in explaining his downfall.

There was also a noticeable spelling error in the paragraph where JW writes about Mike Bendixen joining 640 radio. Funny how a tiny glitch can get in the way of a story.
I don't know if Newstalk 1010 still has any clips from Mike Bullard's noon show in storage somewhere but I hope they do a segment, even a short one, on his talent and his passing.
I always thought he would have been a heck of a character actor. His stage presence along with his comedic skills would have afforded him more opportunities to shine as a performer in his later years if he'd lived south of the border.
My sincere condolences to Mike's friends and loved ones.

That's right, and I had forgotten about that. Bullard's Wikipedia entry has the dates (excerpt below). I believe he was joined by Judy Croon for that as well? I remember the banter between the two of them.
In August 2009, Bullard became the host of The Mike Bullard Show on Talk820 (CHAM) in Hamilton, Ontario, however his evening show was cancelled when CHAM switched to a country music format in July 2010.
From 2010 to 2016, Bullard hosted Beyond the Mic with Mike Bullard weekdays at noon on Newstalk 1010 in Toronto.
He returned to broadcasting in October 2018 on Sauga 960 AM in Mississauga as host with Lawrence Morganstern of the afternoon drive time show, The Getaway. The show ceased production in late January 2019.

John Moore did a very brief segment on Bullard Tuesday morning. Nice that they didn't forget him or that he was on their station. He certainly deserved the mention.

It was good of John Moore and yes, Bullard does indeed deserve the mention. He was a talented man who made me and many of us laugh. Sad.
