Did any of you also catch Toronto mayor Olivia Chow on Moore in the Morning today? She allegedly missed the October 7th memorial because she was at a bike lane meeting in Etobicoke. Pathetic. She was also a bit sketch about the island airport’s future. Yet more pathetic. I love AM in the AM!

Well you must hate PC leader Pierre Pollievre then, he skipped the Oct 7th moment of silence in the House of Commons, then turned the remembrance ceremony into a political rally with (yet again) another anti-Trudeau rant. I was disgusted, he couldn't even shut up long enough to pretend to be solemn and respectful of those who died.

I heard most of it and judging by the phone calls and panels that followed, not one person was convinced by what she said.
But if you think that's something, I was surprised the day before when AM640 morning host Greg Brady actually called for her to resign. Never thought I'd hear that from a local commentator, but he repeated it a number of times.
She is definitely not helping herself and it always stuns me when politicians of every stripe think they can bullshit voters with ridiculous non-answers or faux apologies.

She cant even talk properly - slurring her words

Be careful, there Markow202, Chow had a rare virus that attcked her facial muscles. She has mostly recovered from the initial attack but her facial muscles are still effected. Also she does have a Chinese accent. I hope that does not offend you.

If only she had the grace, poise and tact of former Mayor (and former CFRB and CFMJ asset) Rob Ford.

She has an accent. You can learn more about that at:
She also had a virus more than a decade ago that affected her speech on what seems (from the article) to have been a temporary basis:
This is a fairly long time ago. Could there have been any even minor lasting impacts on her speech? I couldn't tell you. She's won multiple elections so I'd imagine most people have no trouble whatsoever understanding her.

Ah that makes sense - this I didnt know at all.

There are a lot of influential and powerful members of the Jewish faith in Toronto. Chow's repeated snubs and lack of support for that particular group of Toronto voters is not making her any friends, except maybe the pro-Hamas crowd who seem to be above the law in this country.

Like many people here, I'm not an Agar fan. But Jerry was correct to say that someone in Chow's office should have marked Oct 7 in their calendar in red letters. They'd have known there would be a commemoration she needed to attend, instead of a public meeting about bike lanes in Etobicoke. Chow blaming her office for not knowing the details of the commemoration and/or misplacing the invite sounds far-fetched. John Tory certainly knew he had to be at the anniversary events for the Yonge Street van attack.

I would take Rob Ford over Olivia Chow in a heartbeat. Not only does she hate Jewish people....no, that's enough. She is the worst. Greg Brady is calling for her to resign. I second that emotion.

That, and he’s just too smarmy for my likings.
