1220 CFAJ continues its decline

Looks like all live voices disappeared from that station a while ago.
I wonder if they were all fired, or they just left because they weren't being paid?

You're right. I hadn't notice, but then, I admit to not listening often.

They still have a few on-air people listed, but most are doing one hour or weekend specialty shows. Can't say this is a surprise. They never seem to have many (or any) commercials. After taking 3 years (!) to officially sign on, how long can this continue?

Maybe they can find work on CKOC...

Well, 1150 CKOC has been dead air since I last tuned in at noon.

Edit: nevermind, back on air.

A management change has taken place. Currently on programming rebuild (with roughly same format - was 70's - 00's, now 60s - 80's)

Weekend programming has been rebuilt. Check the on-air section to find out more: https://www.classic1220.ca/on-air/

More additions to daytime will be happening soon. Stay tuned.

Wonder if they're churning through sales and/or programming staff...

Re: 1220 CFAJ continues its decline

A song fades (ends) then they go to an ad for ICC immigration, then it's back to music.
Nice to know ICC immigration itself would rather advertise on 1220 CFAJ then to advertise on BIG 820 (or something)
Also great to know they have one ad, at least...

Re: 1220 CFAJ continues its decline

I heard a "live" program last Wednesday or Thursday night around 10 pm.  It sounded like a semi-religious program or a "self help" show.  The host said that he was broadcasting from the station's studios in St. Catharines, but also mentioned either webcast sites or some other network of stations. Audio was very poor due to interference.  No idea who the host was, or the name of the show.

It was probably this.
