Loverboy's "Working For The Weekend" Gets A New Life - With A Twist

It's been a staple of classic rock stations like Q107 for years. And now it's back in a very unusual way. The band Loverboy has allowed the International House of Pancakes in the U.S. to use its famous theme in a new commercial and a bizarre new video.

But instead of the Weekend, Everybody's Working For The Weekday.

The Canadian band doesn't actually appear in the spot - instead, they're all portrayed by singing syrup dispensers in a video reminiscent of MTV.

Don't ask. Just watch.

It’s OK, but feels a little dated in concept and delivery. Still, thanks for sharing RA!

This reminds me of the Bud Bowl Superbowl ads of the early 90's where you had Bud Lite and Bud bottles playing football complete with referee long neck bottles and cheerleader bottles with pompoms.

There is now an iHop in Toronto. Hopefully, (as it reads in the ads) it's a $7 location,
(being the Canadian price)
