It's a scene right out of "Succession" - a family at war over its successful business properties. Except in this case, the infamous "property" is none other than Fox News.
In a remarkable story detailed at the link below, one of owner Rupert Murdoch's sons thinks the ultra-right news network is irresponsible and harming society - and wants to change it. But whether he'll ever have a say in how the place is run is up in the air and before a mediator.
It's quite a story - and one you'll probably never see on Fox News.
Rupert Murdoch is set to face his kids in court, with Fox News’ fate in the balance

Nice article....Murdoch will go down in history as the overlord of a media empire responsible for mayhem, conspiratorial bullshit, utter lies and the destruction of relationships...he gave voice and a platform of 'legitimacy' to so many TV talking head racists, assholes and cringe worthy personalities...the negative impact on society and families in general is palpable at the very least...fvck him.

Yes, the struggles of the Murdock family certainly makes for a cat eat dog situation.
I would Haitian to say Fox has always been one of my "pet" peeves.
It's now turning into a wild goose chase.
As for the officials in Springfield utterly denying the pet eating stories, I want to hear it from Mayor Quimby himself.

Whatever eventually happens to FOX News Network or if it becomes more mainstream, Newsmax is waiting in the wings. This network is not well known here and generally not widely available in Canada. Newsmax has been gaining popularity and is somewhat more to the right of FOX News Network and has been around for 26 years. If FNN were to become less biased and extreme, Newsmax will be there to fill the void, and then some. Last month it was the 31st most popular US network according to Neilsen ratings.

Newsmax Inc has indeed been around since 1998. In addition to its political views on its website, there is also a section dealing with health and finance. The company also publishes a monthly magazine. Newsmax TV was launched in June 2014 and was initially only available to DirectTV and Dish subscribers. The channel has never been available in Canada because it was never approved by the CRTC. I wonder if Newsmax ever requested approval. Probably not.

Newsmax may well not survive the Dominion/Smartmatic lawsuits it's currently involved in.

Just about to mention this...Newsmax may end up on the verge of financial insolvency when it settles out of court for their idiocy as Fox did...and when Trump finally disappears the right-wing popularity of Fox and Newsmax will wane...it was the MAGA cultists that boosted the network's popularity over the past 6 years more so than anything else.

Looks like it might, after it wisely settled before the thing went to trial. The so-called news network didn't have a leg to stand on in my mind, with its ridiculous claim it was just reporting on what others were saying.
Did they really think that would work? Obviously not, because they settled it - although we still don't know for how much. But I'm betting it was a lot.

VERY foolish of Smartmatic to have settled, much like Dominion and Fox News before it.
