Time goes by, and people grow up. They're humans just like you and me, and they seem to me like respectable people living good lives who will create the same for their children.

A little off topic, but perhaps somewhat relevant to this conversation: I was never a fan of that kind of music by any means, but this honestly reminds me of how much of a douchebag I was as a teenager about other people's tastes modern pop music in the late '00s and early '10s. I sometimes even referred to that type of music using a derogatory slang I'd rather not repeat here. Who the hell was I to get so torn up about something that had no real effect on my personal life whatsoever? They've grown up now, and fortunately, so have I.

Reminds me of a Mad magazine parody of many years ago ... the children of hippies as short-haired serious classical music lovers... visually it was priceless...

Simpsons too. Ultra-square and church-going Ned Flanders' parents were depicted as members of the Beat Generation.
