Once again something odd happened at CTV, this time on their 6 PM newscast. After a report from reporter Siobhan Morris about a possible expropriation in Toronto, the broadcast cut off with no explanation at her sign off for a Crave commercial, then came back in the middle of a copy story already in progress about CUPE leader Fred Hahn.
There was no explanation about what happened and the anchors seemed completely unaware their show was interrupted.
I'll say one thing about whatever is going on over there - almost every single anomaly noted here is different than the ones before. It certainly keeps things interesting, although I'm sure they'd prefer things go back to normal ASAP.

I saw that Crave ad also and was quite surprised. After reading here all the recent foulups happening at CTV Toronto's various newscasts, I just assumed some newby pressed a button at the wrong time. Oops! Sorry about that. I'm new here. I'll try not to make that mistake again.

What is even more insane... that Crave commercial is even in the Youtube post of tonight's episode.
Check out the 15minute mark and you see the bizarre flub as it aired on live TV, they didn't bother to edit it out.
At this point, I'm just watching CTV Toronto for the flubs, not the news...

Safe to say it was a master control error, since the newsroom does not have the capability to play any spots. It certainly was an odd moment.
