Well you don't see a pigeon dressed up in a blue and red circus strongman outfit everyday, now do you? Nor a plane for that matter.

Depends how high up. The higher up, the harder it is to understand. It can easily look too much like a bird or plane if it is high enough up...the excitement is in the speed!! Flying so fast!

I wasn't old enough to watch Superman in its original run, but, like I Love Lucy, I saw them in reruns. One thing I will always remember is the bad guy fires his gun and Superman stands proudly as the the bullets bounce off his chest. Now out of bullets, the frustrated bad guy throws the empty gun at Superman, who always ducks to avoid being hit.

Wow, I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they couldn't see the graphic. I wonder what's going on there.
In any event, it says:
"Those first two persons who thought Superman was a bird or a plane. Why were they so excited?"

Thank you RA, appreciated! I don’t know why but many of the graphics posted here get cropped for me, not all of them though, odd!

If you're having this issue, others may, too. I've reposted it with a smaller width and height. That might solve the problem.

I might give you the angle on the bird but in 1939 when Superman was created, I'd reckon seeing a plane in the sky was still pretty novel.

Why did Superman always duck the thrown gun.
It was made of kryptonite.
But, when Clark Kent took off his suit and tie, where did he put them? Did he leave them in the phone booth and nobody stole them?
Did he hide them under his cape?
Why a phone booth, anyway... why not a stairwell or a toilet stall.

And there are no phone booths left today. So where does he change now?

Occasionally I have the same problem. I normally keep my screen zoom at 150. Reducing it to 125 generally fixes the situation.
