I don't know much yet about "Poppa's House," an upcoming CBS sitcom that stars Damon Wayans Sr. and his son Damon Wayans Jr. (can't wait to see how they handle that billing.) The elder character is a stuck-in-his-ways radio talk show host who has trouble getting used to changing times, including in his own industry, when they pair him with a liberated female co-host.
It remains to be seen how much of it actually takes place at the station rather than at home. Its debut date is pending, but you should be able to see it sometime next fall. Here's a preview from the U.S. TV Guide:
While it doesn't happen often, radio sometimes plays a role in some TV shows. WKRP In Cincinnati is perhaps the most famous, also a CBS show. Frasier famously took place at KACL-AM in Seattle. And while you almost never saw them actually doing any broadcasting, NewsRadio took place in a fictional New York City station.
And of course, CBC's Son Of A Critch has many scenes that take place at a fictionalized version of a real station - VOCM in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Turns out, it won't take a place in a radio station after all. In a sign of just how faded the medium is becoming, the show runners have decided to turn this from a comedy about a broadcaster to a guy doing a successful podcast from home, instead.
"Showrunner Dean Lorey, speaking at the TCA press tour, “We’re making a couple of shifts in the show. We did a show called Poppa’s House so we want to see more of Poppa’s House, we want that to be very much the center of the show. So in the season, we’re going to see Poppa make a shift from the radio station to doing a podcast at home. That will allow us to bring the life of the family more into the show and gets these two guys together all of the time.”
The "House" opens for business on CBS October 21st. But without the radio angle, it may not be a show I'll sample.

Maybe since CBS bailed out of the radio business in 2017 they don't see it's relevance any more. Audacy, formerly Entercom, bought the CBS radio stations in 2017... and they have been reaping the rewards ever since...
