I remember a friend who worked at the old CKFH telling me their tower was on the Toronto Island and sent most of the signal into the lake. Maybe that's why they never beat CHUM. But I understand they were the #1 station with the fish!

This probably explains why, when they were a top 40 station, 1430 had a listenable night signal to about Southdown Rd/Erin Mills Parkway.
