Just got word from one of their jocks that the FB page for Ottawa's Rebel Rock 101.7 (CIDG-FM) has literally just been geoblocked in Canada as of this afternoon. Did they use the forbidden N-word on a post or share something newsy?

yes, you're correct. Rebel has been removed from my news feed and replaced with this.....
People in Canada can't see this contentIn response to Canadian government legislation, news content can't be viewed in Canada.

Which is strange, because I don't recall CIDG posting any news content in recent weeks/months.
As a business owner who offers services to Canadian radio and television stations, I fear that my FB page will be among the next to be shut down; other such people have also had their pages nuked recently.

FB really is garbage ... riddled with spam, and worse... I'm only there because of the DX hobby, and even for that more focused information avenues are coming forth. Speaking of which, I can't believe how well Sault Ste Marie stations are coming into the north Kawarthas today. It's fade-up material, so not consistently listenable, but there are moments Oldies 93 (93.9, on the US side) sounds like a local. It's been my background while I work...

Most broadcasters who had their Meta pages pulled last week signed up for the recently implemented Google News Fund, making them a news organizations in the eyes of Meta.
